What's going on here
I'm someone who's quite reflective and enjoys verbalising the thoughts and opinions I have. I usually do my personal reflections on my Notion, but coding out a blog gives me a bit more flexibility in terms of the structure, and let's me add more functionalities like filtering and sorting.
And so, here we are. While it's nice if other people are interested in the contents and read my posts, I think this blog primarily serves as a personal diary of my opinions, hobbies and growth over the years.

What I want to write about
Honestly, it's not going to be very technical cause this impress recruiters isn't the intention - if anything this is getting a bit too personal for the general public but I'm going to assume that random strangers aren't going to find their way to this part of the internet. But rather, I just want to talk about the many things that interest me, and write about my random learnings about them. For now, I foresee it being about:
- Whisky
- Coffee
- Listening to music / hifi audio
- Guitar and drums
- Random thoughts on random things
---
Why write about these things
For many of my hobbies, I kind of just picked them up at some point, spent some time getting somewhat well-versed in them, and once I got past the high-gradient portion of the learning curve, I just got comfortable with it and never bothered to go further.
For example, I've been making coffee for almost 5 years now, and yet I wouldn't say that I'm super knowledgeable about the field, nor have I intentionally trained my pallet to be a lot better than it was 5 years ago. However, I do still make coffee, and I do still enjoy it. But I think it would be nice to delve deeper into the things that I enjoy.
I think I have done this in the past because I've just been busy with other things in life, and so it's hard to shift your focus into this unrelated thing. So I think a blog helps me achieve "progress" in a more structured, incremental way. It forces me to be intentional and write, but at the same time it allows me to not have to consistently keep these things at the back of my mind. We'll see where this blog goes, but for now, thanks for reading and hopefully I'll have more posts soon.
